Kenny Chesney led the pack when nominations for the 47th annual Academy of Country Music Awards were announced yesterday morning. Other top nominees included Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Taylor Swift, the Eli Young Band and Grace Potter. Chesney’s nominations include Entertainer of the Year, an award he has won four times since 2004, and Male Vocalist. Merle Haggard has returned to his home in northern California after being treated for pneumonia and other ailments at a hospital in Macon, Georgia, a spokesperson said yesterday. Haggard, 74, canceled a January 17th tour date in Macon and was admitted to a local hospital. He left the hospital on Friday and planned to return to California on his tour bus.
